Justin Teilhet has been designing and creating ceramic vessels in yellow Springs Ohio for nearly 20 years, working exclusively in porcelain for the last eight years.

His driving force is visual simplicity, which attempts to create a sense of tranquility. In many ways his current body of work is about surface tension; therefore he uses a family of glazes with deep continuous properties. The pieces are created and displayed in compositions of two or more objects. The interplay and negative space are as important as the objects themselves.
